We decided to sell our home and called Marvin for an Opinion of Value so we could get an idea of price. We told him our wish list: We wanted to sell now but not move for about 15 months! We were building a new house and have two dogs and didn't want to move twice and have to rent for a year.. He said he was showing clients the next day in our price range. Since we had a quick closing, Barbara had to go above and beyond getting all the paper work together in time - Power of Attorney and Apostile, going back and forth with the buyers in the States and the Notario here in Mexico.   I was in Ajijic last month looking at homes for possible purchase in the Lake Chapala area and chose your real estate office at the recommendation of two friends Pat and Ron Rodricks. I wanted to thank you for your very proficient competent service as well as to single out the professionalism and expertise of Thomas Hellyer, the agent with whom I evaluated many homes over the course of about three weeks in November 2009.

Unlike the majority of agents I have known and worked with (whether in NY or Lake Chapala) who were often manipulative or frankly inappropriately maneuvering, Thomas was altogether principled.  He provided information, gave his counsel, but did so in a way that was objective and refreshingly unassuming. I never felt as if he were attempting to ‘steer’ me toward or away from any property that would give him an advantage or handicap me in any manner. Nor did I ever feel as if he was misleading me about a property, something I have perceived in my other dealings with real estate agencies.
Thomas obviously understands that by offering the best service, and by providing a client an atmosphere of respect, honesty, and consideration, he will be establishing positive interactions and forming the basis of relationships whether those relationships yield a home sale now or sometime in the future.
I don’t know what my future plans hold, but should I have any opportunity to recommend a real estate agency in your ‘neck of the woods’ I would not hesitate to recommend your agency.
